The site looks fairly comprehensive. Is it managed/updated centrally by education teaching staff? Would this be similar to a Scottish authority central team? Are the staff permanent and/or seconded and how many are there supporting this site? How good is access for teachers in school / at home? How does this relate to centrally delivered CPD programmes? It would be good to get teachers' views re the site and how it impacts on them.

ReplyDeleteThe site has been funded and managed centrally, however, with the recession, there is a genuine worry that funding will be cut. Therefore, teachers themselves are expected to contribute to the site, sharing and uploading resources.
ReplyDeleteToday in immersion classroom in the High School, one of the computers was on and it was the extec.cat teacher portal which was up on screen.
